John Burns has been working in comics since the ’50s. For a while he drew short strips for various newspapers including “The Seekers”, “Danielle” and, for a brief period, “Modesty Blaise”. He later when on to work for 2000 AD, becoming well-known for his work on “Judge Dredd” and “Nikolai Dante”. He recently released a graphic novel adaptation of Jane Eyre.
His bibliography is varied and expansive, including overseas work for Marvel and European titles, while his work retains an impressive and highly skilled composition with a fully painted finish.
